On 9 March 2023, the three projects of the AEM Hub (ANIONE, CHANNEL and NEWELY) met again, together with the Clean Hydrogen JU experts, to share results and updates on the developments of the respective projects!
The joint Webinar focused on the Challenges and Perspectives of the AEM Water Electrolysis (AEMWE). The event was organised by – and for – the AEM-projects kicked off with the welcome of the Project Officer, Nikolaos Lymoeropoulos, and with short presentations from each of the project Coordinators (Thulile Khoza for CHANNEL, Aldo Gago for NEWELY and Antonino Aricò for ANIONE) who presented a condensed summary of achievements reached by the respective projects.
The webinar was divided in 4 Panel Sections addressing the challenges and perspectives of the different components related to AEMWE technology:
- Electrocatalysts
- AEM & ionomers
- MEA preparation and performances
- Stack and other aspects
For the ANIONE project the invited panelists have been: Antonino Aricò-CNR (Section1), Deborah Jones-CNRS (Section 2), Allan Christian Petersen-IRD (Section 3) and Sebastian Herrregods-Cummins (Section 4). Sabrina Zignani-CNR was
appointed as moderator for the section on MEA preparation and performance (Section 3). Below the agenda reporting the full list of panelists and moderators!
The AEM Hub is a cluster of three EU projects working to improve anion exchange membrane water electrolysers for green hydrogen production. The production of green hydrogen and the use of the AEM WE technology are central to decarbonising the EU’s energy system. AEM-Hub factsheet can be downloaded here.
